Prémio para investigador do CESEM: Edward Luiz Ayres d’Abreu

The Center for Iberian and Latin American Music at the University of California, Riverside, is pleased to announce the results of the 2017 Otto Mayer-Serra Competition, for the best unpublished essays on Iberian and Latin American Music, in either historical musicology or ethnomusicology.

First Prize

Ana Lombardía (Instituto Complutense de Ciencias Musicales; Universidad Complutense de Madrid): “Melodías para versos silenciosos: bailes, danzas y canciones para violín en el Manuscrito de Salamanca (ca. 1659).”

Second Prize
Edward Luiz Ayres de Abreu (CESEM, Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical; Universidade NOVA de Lisboa): “‘…le Désir est tout…’ – Obras vocais de câmara de Ruy Coelho à luz do simbolismo fin-de-siècle.”
