Professor of Philosophy and Sociology of music at UNILA (Universidade da Integração Latino-americana). Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from UNICAMP (2004), a Diploma de Estudios Avanzados from the UGR (University of Granada) (2007), a Master’s Degree in Sociology from UNICAMP (2010) and a PhD in Music from the same institution (2014). Participates as “académico invitado” at Seminario de Música en la Nueva España y el México Independiente (Institute of Aesthetic Research of UNAM – Universidad Autónoma de México) and as “integrated researcher” at CESEM. Publishes in the fields of sociology of music and history of popular music. Also works as a professional bass player.
