Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France by Océane Boudeau (EMS) e Christian Meyer
The first part of this ninth volume describes all the manuscripts with music from the former Latin collection of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Lat. 1-8822), which was formed around 1740 from the collections of the Bibliothèque royale dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. As regards the manuscripts with music, this collection owes much of its richness to the very numerous manuscripts originating from Aquitaine and Occitanie acquired in the seventeenth century by Jean-Baptiste Colbert (1619–1683) or in 1730 during the sale of the manuscripts from the library of Saint-Martial Abbey in Limoges. These manuscripts, which have been the subject of numerous studies since the 1960s, are now described and analysed in their entirety.
