XV Music Research Meeting (EnIM) I Proposals until July 20
The Portuguese Society for Music Research (SPIM) invites submissions of proposals for papers for EnIM 26 | XV Music Research Meeting, which will take place at the Royal Palace of Mafra from 4 to 6 November 2026.
Given the current complexity of the disciplinary landscape of music studies and research practices, the XV Music Research Meeting presents itself as a multi- and interdisciplinary forum, where proposals and the debate of ideas should take into account the nature of a disciplinarily diverse and intellectually stimulating community. In contrast to the profusion of specialised academic events, EnIM emerges as a prime platform for scientific and artistic communication in the development of a broad and demanding field of research in music and sound.
SPIM invites the submission of original proposals for oral presentations at the Conference, covering all topics relevant to research in music and sound. Proposals should be formulated with the multidisciplinary nature of the SPIM community in mind, adopting one of the following formats:
(1) papers (individual/collaborative);
(2) panels focusing on a specific problem or theme;
(3) performance-based presentations;
(4) workshops.
Approved proposals from PhD and Master’s students are eligible for the 2026 Joaquim de Vasconcelos Prize, provided that the authors attend and deliver their presentation.
