This event brings together researchers, artists, technologists, and educators from across the world to engage critically with one of the most transformative forces of our time: the growing entanglement of artificial intelligence with the creative, cultural, and sensory dimensions of audiovisual media.

The conference approaches these transformations from multiple perspectives: creative potential and content personalization, the reconfiguration of labour and authorship, and the ethical and cultural implications of AI’s integration in artistic production. Rather than framing AI as a purely instrumental or oppositional force, we aim to examine its dynamic role within a continuum of human–machine collaboration and technological mediation that has long characterized the history of music and audiovisual art.

Throughout the conference, a wide range of paper presentations engage with pressing questions that traverse music, media, and technology: from AI-generated authorship and multimodal creativity to platform-mediated listening, pedagogical innovation, and cultural sustainability. These contributions reflect a shared commitment to reimagining how we study and practice music and sound in the context of accelerated technological change.
