Felipe Ferreira de Paula Pessoa

Biography
Felipe Pessoa is a musician, teacher and researcher working in the fields of popular music, music history and medieval history. Graduated and masters in Music from the University of Brasilia (UnB) where he researched the process of formation of choro and the language of guitar duos in the groups of choro. He teaches guitar, harmony and music history at Brasília School of Music (CEP-EMB). He is currently a PhD student in History at UnB with the research Trovrar and reign: Dom Dinis and the role of Galician-Portuguese songs in medieval politics, guided by prof. Dr. Maria Filomena Coelho. In 2019, he was awarded a scholarship by CAPES for a sandwich doctorate period at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa / CESEM with the project The manuscripts of the Galician-Portuguese chants and the politics of D. Dinis, supervised by prof. Dr. Manuel Pedro Ferreira.
