Miniaturized Opera: The Social Experience of Intersubjectivity in Opera Streaming

As opera moves from stage to streaming, questions about the impact of audiovisual mediation arise. Countering a tendency toward the fetishization of immediacy, this project draws on social phenomenology to explore how cinematography can actually open new horizons of intersubjectivity in our experience of opera.
