The Renaissance Canons

The Renaissance Canons website (https://renaissancecanons.com/) is part of a research project developed within the framework of Early Music Department lessons at Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo (Porto/Portugal). Its goal is to provide an online resource to the students to assist their practice of didactic canons from 16th and 17h centuries through the original sources. It incorporated so far more than 600 examples printed between 1543 and 1660, of which more than 200 are provided with the corresponding recordings.
