Biography

She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in musical sciences at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. In 2012, she presented her master’s dissertation, in the field of historical musicology, entitled “Operetta in Portugal at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century: Tição Negro by Augusto Machado (1902).” She was a research fellow for the project “Theater for Laughs: Musical Comedy in Portuguese-speaking Theaters (1849-1910).” Since 2014, she has been the editorial assistant of the Portuguese Journal of Musicology. She has been part of the Science Management team at CESEM since 2015, serving as the editorial assistant responsible for coordinating CESEM’s editions. She currently also manages open access policies at CESEM and the scientific production in PURE. She is a member of the Open Science Working Group at NOVA FCSH since 2024.
