1 RESEARCH GRANT in Music-Performance-Early Music-Recorder CESEM-P.Porto
CESEM-P.Porto is offering a 6-month research grant, starting the 1st of November 2021 and renewable up to one year, for a master student (Music-Performance-Early Music-Recorder) wishing to collaborate in ESMAE’s work plan associated to the project Chanter Les motets de Philippe de Vitry led by the Haute École de Musique de Genève. The tasks are:
a) analysis of the compositional processes of Vitry’s motets and identification of basic musical structures
b) study and practice of ornamentation elements,
c) leadership and participation in a recorder ensemble constituted by ESMAE bachelor students, in view of the laboratorial exploration of practical elements from the research.
Candidates should:
a) be enrolled, at the time of the contract, in a master program in Music-Performance-Early Music-Recorder
b) have a bachelor’s in music-Performance-Recorder
c) have knowledge of the basic theoretical and notational elements of the theoretical sources from the 16th century
Preferential factors:
a) domain of French language
b) previous experience with Ars Nova repertoire
Work will be conducted at Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espetáculo do Porto (ESMAE/IPP), Rua da Alegria, nº 503, 4000-0045 Porto, under scientific supervision of Professor Pedro Sousa Silva.
