From artificial intelligence to soundscapes, the VIII CysMus Workshop, “Media practices online”, will delve into a wide range of topics that have steadily gained in importance as they shape our daily lives, and that require urgent scholarly attention. Ranging from music in videogames, cinema and television to music videos, library music, music criticism in social media and fandom practices, the workshop brings together an increasingly diverse and international set of speakers. Their perspectives, rooted in various areas of the social sciences and of artistic creation, complement each other as they tackle a common scientific challenge: to explore social interactions and artistic practices online, focusing on the creation and reception of music in digital and audiovisual formats.
