Michael Goldstein is a professor in the Department of Psychology at Cornell University (USA), where he also directs the Behavioural Analysis of Beginning Years (B.A.B.Y.) Laboratory. His research focuses on the developmental processes through which speech and language are acquired from the social environment. He uses a comparative approach to study vocal learning and development in both human infants and birds.
