‘Algorithmic Audiovisualities: Music and Media in the Age of AI’ I Call for proposals until May 11
In November 2025, CysMus/SociMus will organize the international conference ‘Algorithmic Audiovisualities: Music and Media in the Age of AI’.
With recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies applied to music and audiovisual media, it becomes urgent to inquire into the significant transformations that these tools and their reception (from enthusiastic adherence to vehement rejection) have wrought in the creative industries. Focusing on the production and consumption of music and images – and their interaction -, the conference welcomes proposals that explore how artificial intelligence has reshaped habits, values, and sociabilities in these cultural practices, from the use of AI to generate music and/or images to its growing presence in concerts, performances and art installations, among various other topics.
The call for proposals is open until May 11, 2025. Click here to find more information about the conference and abstract submission.
