Luís Tinoco, CESEM researcher, wins the Pessoa Prize
Luís Tinoco won the 38th Pessoa Prize, a prestigious Portuguese award. It is the third time a music personality has received such recognition. Luís Tinoco succeeds pianist Maria João Pires, who won the award in 1989, and composer Emanuel Nunes, who was honoured in 2000.
As well as being a composer, Luís Tinoco stands out as a researcher in CESEM’s Research Group on Contemporary Music, which he combines with his work as a teacher at the Lisbon School of Music and as a music promoter.
