Lectures by Haig Utidjian (EMS) in January
On January 15, at 7 pm, Haig Utidjian, a collaborator in the Early Music Studies Group, will give a presentation in Armenian called The hymn ‘Loys Zuart’ – texts and melodies. The evening will take place in the Utidjian Hall of the Armenian Prelature, located in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus.
On January 20, the researcher will give a short internal lecture entitled “First I wrote through learning, and only then from what had been written: MS P79, Drazark, anno 1241″. Also in the same week, on January 23, Haig Utidjian will present his lecture ‘Gladsome Light: the Armenian version of the ancient Hymn at the Lighting of the Lamps’ at Pázmány Peter Catholic University in Budapest.
