Biography

Adriana Oliveira Aguiar has been a professor at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) since 2006 and was also a professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte from 1994 to 2006. She works in the Bachelor’s and Licentiate at UFG in the area of ​​piano, piano technique, group piano, mandatory internships, art and education, research guidelines and Research Foundations. She is graduated in piano at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – Brazil, master’s degree at the same institution and doctorate at the Nova University of Lisbon – Portugal. She is coordinator of Music Internships – Degree in Music Education and coordinator of 3 Extension programs at UFG. She is currently a member of the MUSIPROF research group at UFG and has already been part of the following research projects: “Group Piano: Methodologies contextualized to Brazil” (2007-2010); “Music and the Question of Interpretation” (2008 – 2010); “Portugal and Brazil – The cultural interrelationships that musically influenced the formation of the dominant and dominated nationality: A comparative study of the musical and folkloric elements of the 19th and 20th century piano” (2014 – 2017); “Group Piano: Methodology and Application” (2007 – 2015). In 2011 and 2012, she worked as advisor for the Specialization Course at the Faculty of Education, guiding 5 works and participating in the board of 12 other monographs. Among her teaching works, the following can be highlighted: Member of Specialization Boards: 12;/ TCC Guidelines: 21; / Participation of TCC committees: 24;/ Monitoring Orientation: 15;/ Orientation of another nature: 332 (Internships and Graduation Recitals). She has a certificate of recognition of academic work by the Federal University of Goiás – Dean Edward Madureira Brasil – 2008 and Cultural Highlight – Government of the State of Goiás – State Council of Culture – 2008. Her most relevant published works are: Music in Alternative Education Spaces In: VII National Music Research Seminar. SEMPEM, Goiânia, UFG, 2008; Villa-Lobos educator: the property of music in Music Education – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – School of Music, 2018.; Musical property in mandatory internships as a preparation field for professional training. She have trained students who work today in federal universities in Brazil and abroad. At the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, she was coordinator of the Basic Music Course, Coordinator of Bachelor’s and Licentiate. She was a guest professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and worked on the reformulation of the Technical Course of this Institution.
