He took music composition training courses taught by Luis de Pablo, Horacio Vaggione, Juan Luis Pérez or José Manuel López López, among others. His research interests orbit around musicology of musical composition, with special focus on creative processes studies and on epistemology of musical poiesis, as well as the connections that this musicology can establish with other disciplines such as aesthetics, philosophy, acoustics or cognitive sciences. His scientific production has essentially been focused on the music of Luis de Pablo and Marc-André Dalbavie.

He taught at Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional, in Lisbon, and he participated in social inclusion through music initiatives linked to the PARTIS (Artistic Practices for Social Inclusion) program developed by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
