Biography

Master’s student in Musical Sciences – Historical Musicology at FSCH/NOVA. Together with Isabel Pina, he co-authored the article ‘A pluralidade de Pessoa na concepção sonora do Filme do Desassossego’, published in the minutes of the 2nd Ibero-American Meeting of Young Musicologists, held in February 2013 at Casa da Música (Porto). He presented the article ‘O paradigma estético-musical, pedagógico e político entre 1973 e 1976: A Canção em Círculo de Cândido Lima’ at the IV Encontro Nacional de Investigação em Música, in November 2014 at the National Library of Portugal. It was at the BNP that he also did a curricular internship processing and organising the estate of the organist Filipe Rosa de Carvalho (1892-1890).

He has been a tenor in the Gulbenkian Choir since November 2010, is a member of the choral group Lisboa a Cappella, has been co-conductor of the organ of the Church of São Tomás de Aquino (Lisbon) since April 2014, and currently works vocally with Ana Paula Russo, having been admitted to the Complementary Singing Course at the National Conservatoire on a supplementary regime. He attends the Early Music class led by Helena Raposo and was a member of the Ensemble Pictórico, an a cappella quintet that was a finalist in the 29th edition of the RTP | Antena 2 Young Musicians Award in September 2015. He won the Prize for Best Interpretation of a Portuguese Song at the 10th Edition of the National Singing Competition of Official Music Conservatories, held in April 2017 in Aveiro.
