With a degree in Musical Sciences, in 2006 he obtained a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences with a dissertation entitled “The Musical and Sound Landscape of the City of Lisbon in the Year 1890”. In 2024, obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies for completing the PhD course in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations, at the same faculty. In the meantime, he is working on his thesis based on the research project entitled “Conceptual Explicitation of the Musical Listening Practice”. Between 1996 and 2002 worked as a composer and actor in dance and theater performances, as well installations. As a teacher, he taught at the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, between 2000 and 2010, and at the Escola Profissional Metropolitana, between 2008 and 2010. He is a guest lecturer on the Dance degree course at the Department of Education, Social Sciences and Humanities of the Faculty of Human Motricity, where he teaches Movement and Musical Expression. Since 1996, he teaches on the Performing Arts Management and Production course run by the Forum Dança cultural association. Since 2007, he has worked as a Cultural Mediator / Musicologist at the Associação Música, Educação e Cultura – O Sentido dos Sons (Metropolitana), where he creates contents related with Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa’s activity and the other musical groups under the supervision of this institution. There, he also develops various projects, such as commented concerts, training actions with the IEFP Centers (since 2014), the authorship of the book “Metropolitana 30 Anos – Memória e Futuro” (2023) and the coordination of the project MUSICAR – Musical Practice for People with Blindness or Low Vision and Deaf People (2023), with the support of MusicAIRE, an action co-financed by the European Union.
