In the 5th edition of OVAR EXPANDE, held on October 17, 18, and 19, the connection between music, words (written and sung), and cinema will be explored. On Saturday, October 19, at 10.30 am, André Malhado, from the Research Group for the Study of Music, Critical Theory and Communication, will participate, at the invitation of Academia Gerador, in the masterclass ‘Introduction to Music Production for Audiovisuals’ (2h30 duration).
The training ‘Introduction to Music Production for Audiovisuals’ is divided into two major sections: (1) it explains the historical and cultural importance of music in 21st-century audiovisuals, and (2) it provides participants with tools to practically and creatively apply the literacy they already possess in the production of their personal projects. Participants will learn to identify and apply musical codes from the genres of action, comedy, horror, science fiction and fantasy, among others, in their everyday video projects.
Participation is free, but requires prior registration and is subject to a limited number of spots. It is open to professionals, amateurs, students, and enthusiasts.
