With the constant presence of the media in our daily lives, the paradigms of relationship with music have undergone strong reconfigurations and transformations. The creative possibilities increase and the speeches about music are altered, as the musical contents spread more and more through the media that circulate in society. Pop-up, as an interactive and immediate format, characteristic of digital media, serves as inspiration for these sessions that seek to draw attention to relevant issues, in moments of “musical advertising” that present reflections on music and media.

On the 18th of October, between 6 pm and 8 pm, a group of CESEM researchers begins its first meeting, bringing together three communications that reflect on 21st century case studies. They address issues related to sociability around music, the construction of artistic and gender identities, or practices of social inclusion and exclusion through music, in a discussion around digital platforms and audiovisual formats.
