Research Cluster in Thought and Music

The Research Cluster in Thought and Music (NPM) gathers researchers with an interest in the study of music in its relationship with aesthetics, philosophy and the other arts. This study group was established in September 2020 and proposes to create a space for the discussion of the theoretical and methodological questions that underlie the acts of thinking and talking about music. Stemming from the urge to subvert the boundaries between disciplines and from an interest in what occurs on the borderline – in the in-between, in the excess, in the irregular –, this cluster aims to promote conversations and activities that foster a collaborative dynamic and contribute to the development and enrichment of the research of its members.
