Premiere of Metamorfoses necessárias para a reconquista do mundo by Ângela da Ponte

Formed in 2007, Síntese – Grupo de Música Contemporânea (Síntese – GMC) is one of the most active contemporary music groups in Portugal. Since its foundation, the group has premiered 60 works, most of which are the result of commissions from Portuguese composers or composers based in Portugal of different generations and aesthetic visions.

In this 18th Síntese Festival, the group marks the 50th anniversary of the 25 April Revolution with three new works: Revolution Pop, by João Pedro Oliveira, Metamorfoses necessárias para a reconquista do mundo, by Ângela da Ponte and Quasi una messa da requiem, by Edward Ayres de Abreu.

The event will take place at the Castelo Branco Contemporary Culture Centre between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm on October 12.
