‘Instrumentarium for community artistic practices’ I New Year’s Course at NOVA FCSH by Jorge Graça (EHD)
January 13 @ 16:30 - January 24 @ 19:00 WET
Working in community or educational contexts requires methodologies tailored to the specific needs of individuals. It is essential to explore possibilities and resources that promote accessibility and ease of interaction with music, fostering new pathways for expression and creativity. Adapted objects open the doors to musical practice for different types of bodies and minds, enabling engagement with musical improvisation in a more accessible or less intimidating way. This course aims to equip students with the skills to develop these tools in various community and educational settings, providing theoretical knowledge and practical resources for this purpose.
‘Instrumentarium for community artistic practices’ will be led by Jorge Graça, a member of the Education and Human Development Group, on weekdays between 13 and 24 January, from 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm. The teacher responsible for the course, Helena Rodrigues, is also a researcher at CESEM.
Applications are now open. Find out more about the course and the tuition fees here.
