Manuel Pedro Ferreira will give a lecture entitled ‘From King Dinis to Beira-Baixa: musical paths and crossroads’, which will initially focus on the love songs of King Dinis, in relation to the oral tradition and traditional style of the songs from the Monsanto and Idanha-a-Nova area (20th century), as part of the 700th anniversary of the death of King Dinis.

The session will take place at 6.00 pm on November 8 at the Monsanto Tourist Office. Admission is free, subject to room capacity.
