DBW25 is a wander, a journey through the various constellations of the CMT Universe, an ‘expanding universe’ that has its source of pulsation in artistic creation. Made in the Pianoscópio, the ‘laboratory-sound factory’ that Companhia de Música Teatral (CMT) invented several years ago, DBW25 has found a very special ‘resonance’ in the Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva de Aveiro: a place for experimentation, for creating fabrics where art, science, education and the community intertwine. More than a sound recording, the DBW25 is an object impregnated with sensitive memories.

This exhibition, featuring 25 photographs from the CMT archive, is about this and other Pianoscópio journeys – journeys that led to the recording of DBW25. Its passage through the Factory was decisive and this ‘immaterial return’, in the form of a retrospective exhibition, aims to show some of the ‘territories’ uncovered over the last few years. ‘Fertile spaces where art, science, education and the community intertwine, where ideas are questioned, experiments are made and possibilities are explored.’ “A Viagem do Pianoscópio” is available until September 30.
