Biography
Marcio Páscoa is an Associate Professor at the State University of Amazonas, where he is part of the Graduate Program in Letters and Arts. He coordinates the Laboratory of Musicology and Cultural History and directs the Baroque Orchestra of Amazonas. As a Research Productivity Fellow of CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), he frequently publishes books, chapters, and articles in scientific journals on musicology, especially opera, theory, and history (schemata and musical topics theories), and musical iconography, within the scope of Luso-Brazilian studies, focusing on the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as the impacts of such issues on postmodernity.
