Rafaela Jordan de Almeida Gomes (b. 2002, Garenne-Colombes, France) began her musical studies in 2008 at the École Municipale de Musique et Danse de Bezons (France), in the areas of classical guitar and contemporary dance. In Portugal, she continued his training at the Escola de Música de Esposende, where he completed the Basic Music Course (2017), and later at the Escola Profissional Artística do Alto Minho (Viana do Castelo), where she completed the String and Keyboard Instrumentalist Course, specializing in classical guitar (2021).
Between 2021 and 2024, he took a degree in Musical Sciences at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH), which he completed with an average of 18 points. In terms of research, she has presented several papers at the editions of the Jornadas Música, Média e Públicos, em Portugal -1974 à atualidade to the present day, exploring topics such as the reception of contemporary music, cultural programming and communication with young audiences. In February 2025, she was part of the organizing committee for the 6th edition of the event. In addition to her academic research, she carried out a twelve-month Erasmus+ Academic Internship with the Banda Musical de Goián, where she worked on organizing and cataloguing the repertoire, and a Curricular Internship at the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB), collaborating with the Communication and Marketing Department in the study of young audiences.
She is currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Musical Sciences, in the area of Historical Musicology, at the same institution (NOVA FCSH), where she is carrying out research on the Casa da Música do Porto. She collaborates with CESEM within the SociMus group and is a member of the MMP project (Música, Média e Públicos).
