Title Ph.D. Thesis: «Electroacoustic structural processes in Enrique X. Macías»

Resume:

In the last decade, the volume of research on musicians and especially on Galician composers seems to have increased considerably. Despite the more in-depth studies of figures such as Viaño, Groba and Soutullo, which are very recent, I think that in the case of other Galician composers, it is necessary to review and complete the literature that was written about them.

In this work I will deal only with the figure of Enrique Xerardo Macías. Starting from specific and close sources, his family, in particular his brother Javier Macías, with whom I have a relationship, and a long list of friends, musicians and artists, establishing an overview of his life and his work. I will review the existing catalogs by making changes or adding information to create a more precise catalog, and I will focus on one of the main elements of this study, the electroacoustic structural processes of which was the first Galician composer of electroacoustic music.
