Talk Series on the relationships between music, genders and sexualities.

In #CentroLGBTI we start a new series of talks in a partnership with the Research Cluster on Gender and Music, part of the Centre for the Study of the Sociology and Aesthetics of Music of NOVA FCSH.

The Talk Series on the Relationships between Music, Gender, and Sexualities, coordinated by André Malhado, aims to engage participants from various backgrounds. This includes group members, other researchers in the field of social sciences, artists, and the broader community. The format of these conversations is in-person, featuring short presentations by speakers, discussions centered around music’s pivotal role, and audience engagement through debate. The selection of topics for each session is diverse, yet firmly anchored in the research objectives and the academic and/or artistic areas of the participants.

The theme of the first session will be “Musical Encounters and Disconnections in Lisbon’s Night”, featuring the participation of André Malhado and Francisco Oliveira.
