Magic Lantern – Study, Safeguard, Uses and Reuses in 19th-Century Portugal (MAGICA) (PTDC/ART-PER/1702/2021)

The project MAGICA will solely take place in Portugal (Lisbon).

The research fellow will assist the research team in carrying out the tasks to be performed during the duration of the project and contribute to its pursuit, with particular emphasis on the research of the theatrical genre Mágica in Portugal and Brazil (19the century) against the backdrop of French theatrical production; he/she will also actively participate in other activities of CESEM.

The research fellowship’s duration is 9 months and is non-renewable. The expected starting date is 1st March 2022.

Researcher Profiles: Holder of a diploma (Licenciate) in Musicology or equivalent and enrollment in a Masters in Musicology.

Holder of a diploma (Licenciate) in Musicology or equivalent and enrollment in a Masters in Musicology.

Preferential requirements: area of ​​specialization in Historical Musicology; knowledge of French language; proficiency in the use of music writing programs (Finale or Sibelius).
