Participation of Vinícius de Aguiar from GTCC in the 2nd Portuguese Symposium on Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence

Vinícius de Aguiar will participate in a round table on artificial intelligence (AI) and creativity as part of the 2nd Portuguese Symposium on Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence.

During this round table, mediated by Vítor Santos (NOVA IMS) and in which Amilcar Cardoso (UC), Vinícius de Aguiar (CESEM) and Miguel Castelo-Branco (FMUC) will participate, the researchers will try to understand whether or not AI can be creative, what the aesthetic limits of generative AI are, how generative AI changes what we consider art, how intellectual property can be attributed to AI art and whether generative AI should pay intellectual royalties.

The round table will start at 4 pm on September 26. The event will take place at the Alcochete Cultural Forum.
