IN2PAST Activities I Participation of Maria Inês Pires (CM) and Paula Gomes-Ribeiro (CTC)
The aim of the 3rd Public History Congress in Portugal: Associativism and Social Movements, Collaborative Practices between Science and Citizenship, which will be held at A Voz do Operário in Lisbon on 5 and 6 June, is to bring together contributions that allow us to identify and understand different ways of developing collaborative practices in the field of associativism and social movements. Maria Inês Pires from the Research Group on Contemporary Music will be responsible for the last paper of the event, entitled “Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble: fifteen years of contemporary music”.
The 2nd Annual Meeting of IN2PAST Thematic Line 5 – TL5 | Cultural Transfers, Public Policies on Memory and Inclusive Citizenship will be held on 27 and 28 June at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Room B326, Building 4). The meeting is open to all IN2PAST researchers and will be held in Portuguese. The full programme is available here.
In addition to Maria Inês Pires, who will be responsible for the session “Musical groups dedicated to contemporary repertoire active in Portugal at the beginning of the 21st century: criteria for selecting works and their characteristics”, as part of the “Sounds and Images” panel, the meeting will also include Paula Gomes-Ribeiro, from the Research Group for the Study of Music, Critical Theory and Communication. Paula Gomes-Ribeiro will present “The Masks of Camões: Representation and Ideological Dispute” in the panel “Disputes of Memory III”.
