The Workshop on Preparing Competitive Research Proposals will be led by Professor Mette Bruun from the Centre for Privacy Studies, University of Copenhagen, on October 14 (2.00 p.m. – 4.30 p.m.) – room B201 – and October 15 (10.00 a.m. – 12.30 a.m.) – room C115 – Avenida de Berna. The workshop will be conducted in English.

This workshop offers a valuable opportunity for the CESEM community, as Professor Bruun will share her experience in preparing successful funding applications and in serving as a peer reviewer for numerous projects of various types. We emphasise that this initiative is relevant not only for researchers intending to submit proposals to the ERC, the FCT, or other national and international funding schemes, but also for the wider academic community, students included. The increasing internationalisation and competitiveness in securing research funding require solid knowledge and experience in proposal writing techniques and academic communication strategies — skills it is important to develop early in order to prepare stronger applications in the future.
