Biography

Adriana Lopes is a flutist and music educator, specializing in early childhood music education. She completed the 8th grade in Transverse Flute at the Conservatory of Music of Ourém and Fátima and graduated in Music Sciences from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at NOVA University Lisbon. In 2023, she earned a Master’s in Music Education for Basic Education from the same institution. In 2024, she began a postgraduate program in “Music in Childhood: Intervention and Research” to further expand her knowledge in the field of music and arts for early childhood.

To deepen her expertise, Adriana has participated in various training programs, including Jacques Dalcroze Eurhythmics, the “Alphabet of the Body” with Jorge Parente, and immersive workshops with the Companhia de Música Teatral (CMT). She collaborated with CMT on the “Mil Pássaros in Coimbra” and was also a speaker at the XIII International Conference on Art for Childhood and Social and Human Development, an initiative organized by CMT.

Since 2017, Adriana has gained extensive experience in early childhood music education, working at several institutions. Her professional journey includes roles at the Jardim Infantil da Associação do Pessoal da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Escola de Música Nossa Senhora do Carmo as a Culture Music teacher, and other educational settings, she also has interned as a Music Education teacher at Cooperativa a Torre. Currently, she is developing a project focused on music for early childhood in the Leiria region. This project reflects her commitment to musical education from the earliest years of life, aiming to promote the comprehensive development of children through music.
