Biography

Ana Cristina Bernardo. She completed her PhD in Music and Musicology in 2014/07 from the University of Évora – Institute for Advanced Research and Training, her Master’s Degree in Musical Arts in 2009/02/03 from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa – Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, her Degree in Piano Performance in 1990 from the Conservatório do Porto, Degree in Piano Accompaniment in 1999/09/23 from the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute – Lisbon School of Music, and Bachelor’s Degree in Piano (Instrument – area of) in 1994/10/07 from the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute – Lisbon School of Music. She is a primary and secondary school teacher at the Ministry of Education. She has published 4 articles in specialised journals. She has received 3 awards and/or honours. In her Ciência Vitae CV, the most frequent terms used to contextualise her scientific, technological and artistic-cultural output are: Music; Analysis; Metaphor; Interpretation; Analysis for interpretation; Contemporary Portuguese music; Piano; Musicology.
