Gabriel Rezende

Professor of Philosophy and Sociology of music at UNILA (Universidade da Integração Latino-americana). Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from UNICAMP (2004), a Diploma de Estudios Avanzados from the UGR (University of Granada) (2007), a Master’s Degree in Sociology from UNICAMP (2010) and a PhD in Music from the same institution (2014). Author of the book “A história (des)contínua: Jacob do Bandolim e a tradição do choro” (Alameda, 2020) and several academic papers. Publishes in the fields of sociology of music and history of popular music. Also works as a professional bass player.
