João Afonso dos Santos Tojeira is a researcher, educator, and professional in the musical and cultural field with interdisciplinary experience in Social Sciences, Education, and Performing Arts.
Graduated in Musical Sciences from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, he also completed a Master’s degree in Musical Heritage, where he was awarded honors, at the Universities of Oviedo, Granada, and the International University of Andalusia, as well as doctoral studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. He complements his academic training with international certifications in coaching, neurolinguistic programming, and emotional intelligence, demonstrating an integrative approach to education, culture, and personal development.
Professionally, he works as a teacher, artistic director, and music producer, managing event organization projects and developing digital platforms through his company, Culturalia.
His research interests encompass music, sociology, education, and technologies applied to culture, with outputs including musical compositions, recordings, and studies on cultural heritage. Notable works include Beiral (2023) and Ritual (2023), as well as research on the work of José Mário Branco and cultural preservation projects.
He is an active member of various cultural and technological associations, currently serving as President of Culturlab – Cultural and Technological Association, and has extensive experience in event management, technical production, and guidance of artistic projects.
