Article by Luzia Aurora Rocha in Cuadernos de Música Iberoamericana
The next Cuadernos de Música Iberoamericana, a journal published by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, will include an article by Luzia Aurora Rocha entitled ‘Arte Barroco Luso-brasileña: el papel de la música en el diseño de elementos arquitectónicos en Portugal y sus repercusiones en Bahía (Brasil)’.
This article is an unprecedented contribution that analyses the relationship between Baroque architecture and music, with special emphasis on the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, and other important cities in the country (Coimbra, Guimarães and Torres Vedras). In addition to the Portuguese study, iconographic sources related to this theme in Bahia (Brazil) will also be applied.
The next issue of the journal will be launched in the last quarter of 2024. The article will be open access.
