Otto Mayer-Serra Prize 2025 I Luís M. Santos (CTC) wins 2nd Prize

Luís M. Santos (Research Group for the Study of Music, Critical Theory and Communication) won the 2nd prize in the Otto Mayer-Serra 2025 competition with “‘Deutschland über alles… na música‘: o discurso sobre a música sinfónica em Lisboa no tempo da Primeira República”.

The Otto Mayer-Serra Award is an annual distinction promoted by the Center for Iberian and Latin American Music at the University of California, Riverside. The award recognizes the best unpublished essays in the fields of historical musicology and ethnomusicology, focusing on Iberian and Latin American music. The initiative honors the memory of Spanish-Mexican musicologist Otto Mayer-Serra (1904-1968), seeking to continue his legacy of innovative research.
