Jelena Novak (CTC) joins an international team awarded with an SSHRC Destination Horizon Grant
CESEM is pleased to announce that researcher Jelena Novak (a member of the Research Group for the Study of Music, Critical Theory and Communication and coordinator of the Opera Studies Thematic Line) is part of an international research initiative that has been awarded a prestigious Destination Horizon Grant by Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
Led by Dr Zoey Cochran (Université de Montréal), the project “Performance as Living Archive / Archiving Live Performance: Fostering Social Resilience and Cultural Innovation through Practice-Based Research” brings together an international network of excellence comprising: Marie-Annick Béliveau (UQAM), Jelena Novak (CESEM, NOVA University Lisbon) and Daniela Sacco (Università Iuav di Venezia) as co-applicants; and Emmanuel Bochud (École nationale de cirque), Michael McCarthy (Music Theatre Wales) and Dafydd Williams (Ulster Touring Opera) as collaborators.
