Juliana Wady (CTC) publishes article awarded in the Otto Mayer-Serra Prize in the journal Diagonal: An Ibero-American Music Review

Juliana Wady (Research Group for the Study of Music, Critical Theory and Communication) has published the article “A History Behind the Discourse: Portuguese Music in Mário de Andrade’s Archive” in Diagonal: An Ibero-American Music Review.

The study was awarded 2nd place in the Otto Mayer-Serra Prize and examines documents from Mário de Andrade’s archive at the Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros (USP), highlighting the significance of Portuguese music in his musicological work and the Luso-Brazilian intellectual networks of the early twentieth century.
