Alexandre Diniz is a university professor and professional musician with over two decades of experience. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Music Department of the School of Arts at the University of Évora, in the Jazz branch, where he teaches Jazz Piano, Jazz Theory and Analysis, Aural Training Laboratory, Chamber Music, and a Seminar on Pop-Rock Music. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at Lusíada University of Lisbon, in the Bachelor’s degree in Jazz and Modern Music and in the Master’s degree in Music Therapy. He holds a PhD in Music and Musicology (2019) from the University of Évora, Institute for Research and Advanced Training, a Master’s degree in Music (2015) from the University of Évora, School of Arts, and a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz (2007) from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, School of Music and Performing Arts. His academic and professional career encompasses performance practice, composition, and scientific research, within the field of Humanities with an emphasis on the Arts.
