Biography

Daniel Gomes is a Lisbon-based web developer who combines his passions for programming and digital art. His current focus lies in computer music, particularly in real-time paradigms in digital media, using sound as the primary medium for music synthesis.

He holds a Master’s degree in Sonic Arts from the Sonic Arts Research Centre in Belfast. Alongside his creative and professional work, he has also served as a peer reviewer for the International Computer Music Conference panel.

His musical works have been presented in various venues and contexts, ranging from Portugal and Paris (INA/GRM) to Germany (ZKM Karlsruhe), as well as at international festivals and conferences such as International Computer Music Conference 2018, the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival 2023, the WOCMAT Conference, the SAG, and the International Computer Music Conference.

More recently, he has been further exploring the fields of digital art and the aesthetics of contemporary music.
