The purpose of this work is to investigate the occurrence of intertextuality processes in Arthur Napoleão ‘s Etudes Pour Virtuoses for piano, starting from the dedications to composers pointed out by the composer in the study headings. We will investigate the intertextuality processes in the composition of these studies and as well as the methods applied by Arthur Napoleão in the elaboration of these honors. From that point on, our intention is to offer support for the construction of a possible interpretation of the works, linking the relation between the stylistic elements of the works of the honored composers and the aesthetic choices of Arthur Napoleão in the elaboration of the studies.
