Maria Sempiterno

Maria Sempiterno began her studies at Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional; concluding Grade 8 in vocal studies with Professor Wagner Diniz. In 2022, she concluded her Bachelors in Musicology, at NOVA University of Lisbon – School of Social Sciences and Humanities. During that period, she won an Investigation Introduction Scholarship (BII – Verão com Ciência).

Currently, she’s a Master student in Musicology in the same institution. She has been selected for a grant under the Lanterna Mágica Project – Study, preservation, use and re-use in Portugal in the 19th century (PTDC/ART-PER/1702/2021 – ending on 1st November 2024).
