He holds a PhD in Historical Musicology from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at the New University of Lisbon (FCSH–UNL), and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Brasília (UnB). He was a professor at the Federal Institute of Brasília and the Open University of Brazil (UAB/UnB), serving as a tutor, author, and supervisor. In 2014, he published the book «Professional Music Education in Brazil: The Professional Education Expansion Program at the Brasília School of Music» with the publisher Novas Edições Acadêmicas. He has been a teacher at the Brasília School of Music (SEEDF) since 2008, teaching bassoon and harpsichord, and is a member of the Luso-Brazilian Music History Research Group – Caravelas (CESEM/FCSH–UNL).
