After the Astonishment- Artistic programming for childhood. Questions about artistic creation, childhood and public

With Madalena Wallenstein She began her training in the Education for Art Movement at the Gulbenkian Foundation in the 1970s in the fields of music and theater. She studied music at the National Conservatory in Lisbon and graduated in Education. She has been working as an artistic educator since 1987, alternating her activity between contexts of artistic creation and formal, non-formal education, intervention in social pedagogy for children and young people, and training for teachers and artists. Her research activity has been built based on a critical reflection on the experience of transversality between the artistic field and the educational field and the exploration of the potentialities of artistic education as a specific space of the aesthetic dimension. She is a PhD student in Artistic Education at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto. Since 2008, she has been a programmer and coordinator of CCB [Fábrica das Artes – educational project]. She is the author and coordinator of the books “If there was nothing, how did something come about?” (Art, childhood and philosophy) and “Roots of Curiosity – time of science and art” (art and neuroscience); “We All Think of Us – issues about artistic creation, childhood and public” edited by the CCB.
