Biography

At present, his research interest focuses primarily on electroacoustic and experimental music, in particular on the exploration of the internet as an element of musical creation, and in the exploration of hardware and software components in the field of sound. Musician with a focus on saxophone, exploring a wide range of sound material through the use of extensive techniques. Participates in several ensembles in the field of improvised, experimental and reductionism music, collaborated, among others, with Ernesto Rodrigues, Ricardo Jacinto, Diogo Alvim, David Stackenäs, Wade Matthews, Axel Dörner, Alexander Frangenheim, Rodrigo Pinheiro, Gustavo Costa, Carlos Santos, D’incise, Adriana Sá, Mike Bullock, C Spencer Yeh, Shiori Usui. Played in several places as Culturgest (Porto e Lisbon), Palais Tokyo (Paris), Fundação de Serralves (Porto), Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Paris), Centro Cultural de Belém (Lisbon), Sowieso (Berlin), DanceBase (Edinbrugh), ZDB (Lisboa), DOME (Moscow), B_Movie (Hamburgo). He has cooperated with several projects across areas such as theater, dance and visual arts, and have been collaborated with various radio initiatives in the artístic and community fields. His discography counts with more than 25 titles, edited mainly in Creative Sources label, with different musical formations with national and international musicians.
