Biography
Pilar Lorente Corisco was born in Lisbon and shares Portuguese and Spanish nationalities. In 2019, she finished secondary education at the Spanish Institute of Lisbon in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. She completed the conservatory at the Nossa Senhora do Cabo Music School, where her specialisation in singing was rounded off with a passage through viola. She is currently attending the third year of the Musical Sciences degree with a minor in English Language, Literature and Culture. The Singing course with Professor Joana Levy has now given way to the residencies at the Lisbon Chamber Choir and the São Roque Music Service. Also meaningful is an ongoing training internship in Musical Iconography with Professor Luzia Aurora Rocha, and a curricular internship with Professor David Cranmer. She collaborates with IMS (International Musicological Society) and CESEM (Centre for Studies in Musical Sociology Aesthetics) in the Modern Period Music research group, in the Musical Iconography thematic field.
